School Programs

K-8th Grade

Ron's school shows are tailored for kindergarten through the eighth grade. The programs can be modified to address specific topics for a particular student body. Mr. Lighty's shows are 40 minutes in length and involve ventriloquism, puppet shows, balloon art, storytelling, and object lessons.
Student participation is an integral part of Ron's shows. Ron has two separate shows for school programs. The first has an anti-substance abuse theme--anti-drug, anti-alcohol, and anti-tobacco. The second show is "Raising the Roof in Reading," a motivational reading seminar.

Church & Ministry Programs

Ron Lighty's goal is to clearly present God's word in a manner that assists the local New Testament Church in carrying out the Great Commission. Mr. Lighty uses creative methods to glorify Jesus Christ: Ron preaches with the help of visual aids, ventriloquism, puppetry, story telling, balloon art, and Christian comedy. Ron is in no way minimizing the importance of pulpit preaching; he simply takes his God-given talents and uses them to convey the Lord's message.
Mr. Lighty is also a family man. He has been married to his wife, Diane, for thirty-nine years and has three children--two married sons and a daughter in college.
Ron Lighty's Personal Testimony: "I grew up in Illinois and was taken to church and Sunday school as a youngster. I did not trust Jesus Christ as my personal savior until I served in the United States Navy. My coming to Jesus Christ came about through the influence of the Christian Servicemen's Center in Newport, Rhode Island. I realized that I was a sinner, and I repented of my sin. I asked Jesus Christ and Him alone to save me. I realized that He died on the cross for my sin and it was through His death, burial, and resurrection that I can have eternal life."

My Beliefs

I believe in the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments); the creation of man by direct act of God; the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ; His identification as the Son of God; His vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross; the resurrection of his body from the tomb; His power to save men from sin; the new birth through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit; and the gift of eternal life by the Grace of God.

Senior Programs

Ron Lighty also performs at senior citizen clubs, organizations, and assisted living centers. His 40 minute show uses ventriloquism, puppetry, and balloon art. Ron's use of audience participation is a big hit with seniors. Mr. Lighty also takes the time to visit audience members individually with Jason, his ventriloquist puppet.

Private Parties: Fun for all ages!

Ron will perform a private party for your birthday, family reunion, grand opening, or other special occasion. All private parties are prepared for the appropriate age group--children through adults.
Children's Birthday: Children's parties consist of storytelling, ventriloquism, balloon art, and puppetry. Each skit is carefully made up of 6-7 minutes to hold children's attention. A special balloon sculpture is given to the birthday child, a happy birthday song is sung, and the birthday child receives extra consideration during the performance. Ron's 40 minute show is portable, so he will arrive fully prepared. Please call Ron for pricing information.

Adult's Birthday: Similar to the Children's birthday party mentioned above, except the jokes are more "grown-up." The performance includes skits, stories, and stand up comedy. The ventriloquism, puppetry, and balloon art are personalized for the party's specific theme--if applicable.

Business Promotions & Grand Openings: Many businesses book Ron for their company picnics, banquets, and holiday events. These performances consist of a 40 minute show and feature ventriloquism, balloon sculptures, and puppetry. Ron can also walk around with his ventriloquist puppet, Jason Basswood, and talk to people about your company or your products. The descriptions above are general examples of Ron's shows.
